How The Cooper Clinic
Got Its Name
The Cooper Clinic is named in honor of Sir Astley Paston Cooper, a trailblazing surgeon and anatomist from the 19th century.
In 1830, he performed the first documented vasectomy procedure on a dog, publishing his findings in “Observations on the Structure and Disease of the Testis.”
His pioneering work on the vas deferens laid the groundwork for modern vasectomy techniques and our clinic carries forward his legacy by providing innovative and expert care to every patient.
